MC Questions Handout (for both SECTION 1 and SECTION 2)
Question 1 : At t = 0s, the position is shown on the vertical axis.
Question 2 : Velocity is the slope of the line in a "x vs t" graph.
Question 3 : The greater the slope, greater the velocity.
Question 4 : Where do the lines cross?
Question 5 : If something is increasing, its graph will be rising!
Question 6: "a" is the slope of a "v vs t" graph.
Question 7: Does the problem tell you where each starts?
Question 8: If something is at rest, its position is not changing!
Question 9: "a" is the slope of a "v vs t" graph.
Question 10: If the velocity is negative, the motion is in the negative direction (towards the negative X-axis).
Question 11: If something is constant its value doesn't change!
Question 12: "Rest" means it is not moving at the starting of the problem!
Question 13: Check distance with eqn.# 2 and check final velocity with eqn. #1.
Question 14: What does "drop" means as opposed to "thrown"?
Question 15: The acceleration of gravity is always downward and constant!
Question 16: V and a are both vectors. V could be either positive or negative.
Question 17: Same as 16 and "a" is always...!
Question 18: Same as 17.
Question 19: Use eqn. 1.
Question 20: Find t, knowing V is zero at the top.
Question 21: What's speed of A as it passes the edge on the way down?
Question 22: A decelerating car has an acceleration opposite to its motion.
Question 23: How far did it fall in 1s? In 2s?
Question 24: Take some numbers for the V0 values and solve for t (set y = 0, use eqn. 2).
Question 25: What is Vf in the third equation?
